Companions Animal Hospital

Appointment Policy

nullTo allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. By scheduling longer appointment times we ensure that our veterinarians have time for a complete physical examination on your pet as well as time to answer all your questions.  Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time.  Our clients are never turned away because we are "too busy".  We leave open "same day appointment" slots so that a pet that needs to be seen can be seen that day.

Day Admits
null

For your convenience, day admit appointments are available for pets that have been seen within the last year. A day admit means you could bring your pet at the time that works best for you and leave him/her with us for a couple of hours. Usually we will ask you to come in sometime in the morning so our doctors can examine the patient in between appointments or at the time purposely reserved for admitted patients. Once the doctor is done, she will give you a call to go over the diagnosis and to give you discharge instructions.

Patient Arrival Policy

nullFor your protection, and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the reception area.  Cats, small mammals, reptiles and birds must be on a leash or in a carrier or cage.  Even though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, they may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings and other pets. This is one of the reasons we ask you to restrain your pet. We recommend that animals be placed on a leash or in pet carriers before entering the hospital.

Payment Policy

We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Care Credit, cash and personal checks.  For patients going on a Wellness Plan we have a direct debit service through Wells Fargo Bank to pay for the cost of the plan itself.   This enables people to give the best care while spreading out the payments for preventative testing.
