Lynn Miller Posted : 1/5/2012 Comments : We recently started using Companions for boarding Lucy, our 12 year old Springer Spaniel. We had used a different local kennel several times but Lucy was apparently not impressed. The last time we took her there, she shredded her bed (and it wasn't a cheap bed!). We used a neighbor for pet-sitting after that but didn't want to tie her up during the holidays so we went to Companions. This has been good for Lucy and she is just fine when she comes home. I also like the comfort of having her boarded at a vet's office. The staff is always very friendly and I think that Lucy is in good hands. I don't worry about her one bit. Thanks much! Posted By :

Posted : 6/18/2011 Comments : My dad died in January in, and suddenly we were owners of a new dog. It took her time to adjust to the snow and to us. On Friday, 06-17-11, we visited Companions for the first time. They were very gentle with our dog and gave her time to adjust to their environment and staff. Theresa Posted : 2/8/2011 Comments : Our precious Callie was 15 1/2 years old and dying. We knew that it would be the kindest decision to help her leave this life and end her suffering. But in our grief, we wanted her to die at home surrounded by the people who love her. Thankfully, Dr. Altena squeezed us into their busy schedule to make a house call. Both the doctor and assistant were so patient and compassionate, understanding how excruciately difficult this was for us. They explained what was going to happen, and they were so gentle with our precious pet. In addition, they gave us extra time to say our final goodbyes after her heart stopped beating. Bryan Hansen Posted : 11/10/2010 Comments : I just wanted to take a moment and thank everyone for all that you have done for and with Kobe over the past several weeks. Needless to say he had some very serious issues that he dealt with recently and your TEAM helped him in a most professional and caring manner. We have been so forntunate to have had you as a provider for all these years. I know that from the time he walks into the front door to when he goes home that he is very special hands. As a vet you expect the Doctors to be exceptional at what they do and Dr. Nancy has been just that! What makes your facility different and the best however is the total team. From the Vet, to the techs., to the office manager, to the groomer, to the office manager, to the receptionists, to all others who provide service and care for the animals that you come to you for whatever the reason. You all should be proud of what you do and may you know that when it comes to my special little companion I have always been willing to drive past numerous Vets to make sure he gets to Companions. I don't know how long Kobe will be with us but I do know that he is still with us because of all of you. In Norway they say Manga Tusen Tak which means Many Thousand Thanks!! |
