Dr. Nancy Cowardin
Veterinarian
Dr. Nancy Cowardin is originally from Jamestown, N.D., and earned her Doctorate from Colorado State University in 1992. After a year in Michigan, she continued her veterinary career in Amarillo, Texas. In 1997, she joined wh and her family moved to Minnesota where she joined what was then Clearwater Road Pet Hospital, now Companions Animal Hospital. With almost 25 years of experience, she is passionate about surgery and internal medicine, and enjoys connecting with pet owners daily. At home, Dr. Cowardin has a kitty brigade - Tres, Quatro, Charlee, and Jukka. She loves reading, swapping books with her son Braden, watching hockey games and staying fit with CrossFit.
Dr. Jennifer Black
Veterinarian
Dr. Jennifer Black graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. She has a real passion for promoting healthy weights in all pets and an interest in reproductive matters, surgeries and educating pet owners about keeping their companions in top shape. Outside of work, she's a devoted cat and dog mom, loves sewing and quilting and is a total book nerd. And, of course, being a true Minnesotan, she and her husband Eric enjoy hiking, camping and exploring the great outdoors!
